History
- The Snack Shack, which sells hot dogs and hamburgers during the summer.
- Young Children Priority One. Focusing on prenatal to 5 yrs of age, we provide products and literature to local agencies to prevent injuries like scalding, electrocution and shaken baby syndrome
Our annual Pancake Festival and our 5 Mile Road Race raise money so we can make contributions to a variety of local Danvers programs Our general criteria for these donations are:
- Children: We look for organizations that help to develop / enhance children's abilities to learn, and grow up to be better adults
- We look to make donations that have a greater impact on the organization
- We support local - Danvers based organizations
- Our donations are for Cultural, Human Services, Capital Campaigns, and On-going / Annual Sponsorships
Through events like our Annual Rubber Duck Race, we raise funds to increase our endowments in our Foundation account, so that we can continue to provide scholarships to High School Seniors as they go on to higher education.
The Danvers Kiwanis club has a proud history of service to the community; whether we are racing ducks, flipping flapjacks, or donating money to fight Maternal Neonatal Tetanus (MNT), we always manage to have a good time while we strive to serve those who need our assistance.
Danvers is a great town, and together, we will continue to make an impact for the betterment of the community, it citizens, and ourselves. As our club grows, so do we, and so does our ability to serve our community.
We meet every Tuesday for lunch at the Danversport Yacht Club at 12:00. If you have any questions, or would like to be our guest for lunch, please do not hesitate to e-mail me at:
